Broader Perspective
I read this post on LinkedIn from Sharon O’Dea the other day, and the personal implication to me was like a sledgehammer to the head.
It reminded me that the entire world doesn’t revolve around the United States, Western norms, or Microsoft releases.
That, as –
Maybe the most radical future-of-work innovation won’t come from Silicon Valley or Shoreditch at all, but from places forced to redesign work from first principles because the maths demands it. Less performative flexibility theatre, more structural reinvention.
The future of work is being written in Nagasaki, Nairobi and New Delhi. And spoiler: it won’t be one future of work, but many, shaped by demographics, culture and societal forces, not Microsoft feature releases.
I couldn’t agree more with Sharon’s assessment. What is most surprising to me is that in my myopic vision, I missed it entirely.
I need to start opening my eyes a bit more. Thank you, Sharon!
