Froggy
I saw this short post by Marshall Goldsmith. I also read many of the comments it generated.
It made me reflect on many things—
How much time should I spend with frogs in wells or with frogs in general?
Can I move on from the frogs and still retain my job or contract?
Am I too quick to judge the frogs?
Should I jump into the well because the ocean is the entrenched bit?
Am I looking in the mirror (or well water) and seeing myself? In other words, am I the frog in the well?
What reflection does it inspire for you?
Stay agile, and froggy, my friends!
Bob.

I have another frog picture from the agile community (out of a slide deck from Woody Zuill):
https://speakerdeck.com/agilelatvia/no-estimates-lets-explore-the-possibilities-by-woody-zuill?slide=40
Quote from the slide: "What must we control? Let's learn to control our urge to control things."
This picture triggered some heavy thinking in me. Sometimes I saw myself as the frog with the crown - the need to be admired, the need to be powerful, the need to be different from the others. Sometimes I saw myself as the frog on the left - the need to "not be a difficult person" (and thus giving in to whatever others decide), the need to look up to others (instead of caring about myself first), the need to be modest (which is not modest at all). A harmless picture, but an invite to reflection.
