I’ve spoken about software product development, technical leadership, and agile topics for over 20 years. I’ve delivered talks, webinars, panels, keynotes, and workshops. If I were to count, I’d say well over 500 public events, beginning in 1999.
In 2021, I published the following positional shift regarding my public speaking. It was intended to do three things—
Open the door for more speaker opportunities for others.
Position me to help others become speakers.
Defer my own speaking opportunities to be largely “Invitation Only.”
I wanted to re-post it on my Substack so that readers are aware of my position. Nothing has changed since 2021, and I still hold to those original goals.
