There are so many wonderful people in my agile community universe who inspire me. As I was sitting there thinking of and reading some of their work the other day, the question came up—
Who am I thankful for, and Who inspires me?
And I thought it was a tremendous reflective question to ask myself. To that end, I get inspiration from so many people, but here are a few who immediately came to mind who are currently inspiring me—
Chris Stone
Josh Anderson
Peter Fischbach
Anjali Leon
Mark Summers
The Moose Herd
Antoni Tsavelas
Rhiannon Personick
Women in Agile
David Rasch
Ann Marie Kong
Julian Stodd
Joanne Stone
John Cutler
Tobias Mayer
Samantha Sieverling
Michelle Pauk
Geoff Watts
Jennifer Fields
Scott Seivwright
Judy Rees
Shaun Bradshaw
Susan Cain
My question for all Y’all is—who inspires you?
Also, please contact them and let them know. I’ll bet they don’t realize their impact on you and others…
Stay agile, my friends,
Bob.
It’s a challenging time for Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters, and Change Agents. But the profession isn’t dying. It’s simply realigning around coaches with the chops, depth & breadth of experience, and skills to deliver value.
Please consider joining Peter Fischbach and me for our next Badass Agile Coaching Masterclass, beginning January 29th, 2025. Now is the time to raise your Agile Coaching competencies, and there is no better way to do that than our class.
We have significant DEI discounts available, so DM bob@rgalen.com for more info.
Hi Bob, thank you for sharing this list of great contributors. There is just one thing that pokes into my eye. It is also something I am witnessing in client engagements, actually everywhere, so you are in the best company.
It is firmly centered around its own silo.
What about adjacent connections or totally random ones? I would add persons like Daniel Kahnemann, Dave Snowden, Thomas Kuhn, Douglas Hofstadter, or Niccolò Machiavelli...
I think, we need more genuinely interdisciplinary thinking!
Hi Bob. It is certainly an honour to be included on your list of influencers. Thank you for including me—and thanks also to my friend Amani for forwarding this to me. Wishing you and all your readers a successful and enjoyable 2025.
